- Alcopops:
- We spoke at the community forum on underage drinking, telling the public what we see. Alcopops are drinks that don't taste like alcohol, don't look like alcohol, don't cost like alcohol, but ARE alcohol.
We want them taxed like liquor, not beer, and we want to alert the community of their dangers. We also spoke to the media through radio and newspaper interviews.

- Social Norms Campaign:
- We did a social norms campaign at one of our highschools to share the news that most teens are not abusing alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs. We used Illinois Youth Survey data to find out the percentage of students at CCHs who had been drunk in the past month. The number was very low,
so we hung great posters throughout the school. We'd like to do more of this in the future.
- Illinois Youth Survey education:
- We educated our high school principals on the benefits of participating in the Illinois Youth Survey. We want to increase the number of schools that participate in the survey. One new school (one of the biggest) has agreed to start participating! This is great news.
- Community education campaign
- We had billboards hung in the community, targeting parents. One of our main concerns is that there are still some parents who provide alcohol for their teens. We wanted to let them know this is dangerous.

- Sticker Shock
- We worked with local alcohol retailers to help educate adults about the penalties for providing alcohol to minors. We place a sticker warning of the penalties on multipack containers.
This is an ongoing project, and one of our favorites!

- Advocacy Day
- A couple of our members went to the state capital to talk to our legislators about the importance of prevention funding. We were the only youth from the ENTIRE STATE there to represent prevention!
